NAFA 85th Anniversary Gala
"Bold & Gold"
On April 2023, I was asked by Ms. Angelia Chng Yen Joo to join an art project for NAFA's 85th Anniversary. She invited several other merit/scholarship students and IPCP students onboard too.
I was given the opportunity to help with the dining table decorations. This has been a very new experience that goes out of my comfort zone, because I have never worked on real life event decorations. Fortunately, I've always enjoyed learning new skills so I was excited to be a part of this project.
We started the experimenting process around May until June 2023. Most of the time was spent trying to come up with a design style that suits the time constraints while giving the maximum results.
Then, when we finally got the green light to our proposal, we start mass producing the mannequins and the other elements for the table decor. It took us the whole month and some early weeks of August to finalize everything.
Finally, on 1 September 2023, we were given the time to setup the table decor according to our designs on the actual dining table that will be used on the next day.

Overall, It has been a very fun and informative experience. The students have been given the responsibility to handle everything for the production, so we learned to divide our budget, time, and manpower.
Additionally, we had to source out our own materials for prototyping and production, so I learned a lot from the multiple outsourcing trips we had to go through.
Working with the fellow students and lecturers have been a very lovely and encouraging environment that I will miss, and I hope that I can cross paths with them again in the future.
Follow through my journey here!
