Lost & Found
Zine - Comic - Animation
The project explores on child abuse and how it has long-lasting effects on children's future. The brief was to create a zine, comic, and animation with no specific themes to focus on. I decided to tell one story but divide it into the three formats.
I thought that this would be a unique and interesting way to tell a story, which encourages the viewers to change their perspective according to the storytelling medium.
"I remember"
A short zine based about how abuse can happen to a kid at any age.
"Lost"
A manga-styled comic that tells the story of how a pet detective who was looking for a lost cat discover the hidden secrets of an abusive household.
"Found"
An animation that tells the story of pain and acceptance from the perspective of a victim of child abuse. It is the continuation from the manga titled “Lost.”
