Happy Death Day
Graphic Novel
The project explores on the importance of supporting children on their journey of grieving. The brief was to create a story under the genre of horror, and I've always had an interest with mental health related stories, so I was interested to go deeper in the topic of "the five stages of grief" and "survivor twin."

Other than the graphic novel, I created promotional material such as a video trailer, website, and poster to gain more interest.

The website serves as an introductory to the story, like a prologue. It also serves as an archive for the research, brainstorming, and process of the graphic novel creation.

The project really helped me to understanding the basics of comic creation, and despite the amount of joy and fun I had while working on this, I suffered a lot because of my perfectionism, high expectations of myself and lack of time management. It was a huge workload for one person, and under such a limited amount of time, which I realized too late. It was an important learning point and I hope to improve on this aspects that I lack.
Huge shoutout to Dan Wong for being such a kind and understanding lecturer. I enjoy consulting with him because he always gives really solid feedback, and gives lots of encouragement when I'm suffering from too much workload. Additionally, appreciation to Elsa Tania and my fellow classmates for always showing interest in my works!
