Children's Museum Singapore: Improved Environment to Include Special Educational Needs Children
Service Design
This project uses service design methods and creative business approaches to tackle societal challenges within a non-profit organisation. It focuses on improved accessibility, online presence, and services that create a meaningful impact for an Inclusive environment for children with Special Educational Needs (SEN).
My role in the group was the researcher and graphic designer of the project. I helped in organizing the research, development and designing assets, such as, storyboard visuals, signage, and compiling the information into the concept board. Using softwares from Adobe Creative Suite, Google Workspace, and Miro.
Elevated Services
To make the museum experience in CMSG enjoyable for all children by creating an environment that connects museum visitors, encouraging inclusivity, we have designed access-free amenities, sensory map, introducing Hush Hush Hours, Hush Hush Hideout, booking system, improved visual language.
Introducing Inclusive Activities
To introduce the children to each other we planned collaborative activities such as the Wonderlog, Wonderbox, and Speech & Drama Programme.
It was an honour to work in one team with Ho Ying Yun, Nurul 'Asyiqin Binti Amir, Alice Amadeus, and Myat Moe Phyu Lwin for this project and I enjoyed every step that we take together. I was also glad to be taught under the guidance of Shin Jung Hoon and Will Kolen for this project.
